Biography
Zachary Crumbo was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but his family soon moved to the South Rim Village at Grand Canyon National Park, where he attended Grand Canyon Elementary, Middle School and High School. After leaving the Canyon, he received a BFA in Photography from the Herberger College of Fine Art and the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. He received a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Interested primarily in imagery as a means of interpretation, he draws inspiration from the history of landscape photography and western exploration. Zachary has shown in Washington and Arizona, has been published in Rivet Magazine and the annual reports of the Herberger College of Fine Arts and the Barrett Honors College, and is in the permanent collections of the Northlight Gallery in Tempe, Arizona and the Barrett Honors College. He makes his living in Tucson, AZ as a designer for print and web.
